Dr. Katerina Goseva-Popstojanova is Professor at the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. Her research interests are in software engineering, cybersecuirty, and data analytics. She has published over 100 journal and conference articles on these topics. She received the National Science Foundation CAREER award in February 2005. She has served as a Principal Investigator on various NSF, NASA, WVU Research Corporation, NASA West Virginia Space Grant Consortium, CACC, and Motorola funded projects. Since 2013 she is serving as a Faculty Coordinator of the Master of Science in Software Engineering Program, which in 2017 has been ranked 10th by U.S. News & World Report. She served as a Program Chair of the 18th International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE 2007) and as a Guest Editor of the Special Sections of the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering and IEEE Transactions on Reliability. President : Jarilyn Hernandez
Jarilyn Hernández is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (LCSEE) at West Virginia University. She received her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Puerto Rico Arecibo Campus. She also has a Master Degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. She worked as a cybersecurity researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for 5 years, and her research interests are computer security, computer forensics, and cyber-physical infrastructure. Jarilyn enjoys watching science fiction TV shows and/or movies and love watching anime.
Vice President: John Jacko
John Jacko got a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at West Virginia University and minored in Computer Science. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and in Fall 2017, served as a GTA for CS 450 and CS 110. He is currently working on a Gaming/App platform, an Interactive Fiction Game, two novels, and an Operating System. John enjoys running, cycling, and weight lifting in his free time.
Treasurer: Mohammad Jamil Ahmad
I am from Nablus City, Palestine. I am currently doing my PhD in Computer Science. I have a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and an undergraduate degree in MIS from An Najah National University in Nablus, Palestine. My areas of research are: software metrics extraction, software fault proneness prediction, and software vulnerability detection and classification.
I have worked as a university lecturer here in the US and abroad. I have also worked as a certified Critical Thinking trainer. I love soccer, volleyball and cycling.

I’m a PhD Student in Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (LCSEE). I’m working on developing an automatic pulsar searching approach using machine learning. I have a Master’s degree in Statistics from West Virginia University. I have broad interests in machine learning and data analytics. My goal is to become a data scientist.
Webmaster: Yasser Ali Alshehri
I am a PhD candidate at WVU, working in the area of software engineering, software reliability, and software quality. In addition, I act to coordinate the work for the Master’s of software engineering program in the department. I assist in the curriculum development, aligning courses with the quality standards. I also helped as a Teaching Assistant for the courses: Data Analytics, Software Evolution, and Software Economics. I enjoy hiking, swimming, and playing with my little daughter.
