LinuxFest/InstallFest 2005
WVU's ACM chapter is proud to announce the first Linuxfest. On October
26th members of the WVU ACM chapter will host a gathering for people
interested in learning about Linux. Activities will include
presentations describing Linux at a high-level, and also instructions
on installing and using Linux on a PC. Members will be on hand to
discuss a variety of topics, from social issues to technical
questions. Live CDs, or CDs that allow you to 'test-drive' Linux
without altering your computer, will be available for a small
donation. The event is open to the public and aims to raise Linux
awareness and support the WVU ACM chapter. Topics covered will be of
interest to a variety of disciplines, so everyone is encouraged to
attend.
